Privacy policy
Last updated: April 2026
ByteCat Digital (Pty) Ltd ("ByteCat", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Who we are
ByteCat Digital (Pty) Ltd is a South African company headquartered in Cape Town, Western Cape. We are the responsible party (data controller) for any personal information you submit through this website.
What we collect
When you submit our contact form we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, optional company name, and the content of your message. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The site does not run third-party analytics that store identifiers on your device.
Why we collect it
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, to follow up about products or partnerships you have asked about. The legal basis for this processing under POPIA is the performance of, or steps prior to entering into, a contract or business relationship at your request.
How we store and share it
Form submissions are delivered to our team via Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service. Once received, messages are held in our company email inbox. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share it with service providers (e.g. email hosting) strictly to operate our business, and where required by law.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your request, and thereafter only as required by applicable law or for legitimate business records.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is inaccurate, to ask us to delete it, and to object to our processing of it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

To exercise any of these rights, or for any privacy-related questions, please reach us via our contact form.
